PEEP Road Safety Survey

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

If you have received a letter about this survey, your ID will be six digits long and begin with a 7, 8 or 9.

You can also complete the survey via the QR code printed out on your letter. The QR code contains a direct link to the survey. If you scan it with your camera, you should go straight to the survey page. Some apps will copy the link for you and you will need to paste it into your web browser.

Wallis is conducting a survey for the Public Education and Evaluation Program on behalf of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). This survey is about road safety and the way TAC communicates important messages with Victorians. If you have received a letter and would like to take part, please click the button below and enter the ID provided in your letter when prompted. If you have been provided with an ID over the phone, you can also click through to the survey using the start survey button. Please note, as stated below, the survey is not available on Monday morning.

When should I complete the survey?

The survey runs nearly every week of the year, the exception being for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. However, as road safety issues being investigated change over time, the survey is reset each Monday morning and it is unavailable at that time (we normally relaunch it at around mid-day Monday). The survey does allow you to save your answers and finish it later if you wish.

Why should I take part?

Your answers to the survey will help make Victorian roads safer and it will only take 15 minutes on average, however some people take more and some less time to complete the survey. Everyone who completes the survey will have the opportunity to be entered in a draw for a monthly prize of $1,000. Winners will be notified by the contact details they enter into the survey should they choose to enter.

How confidential is the survey?

The survey is confidential – your answers will be separated from personally identifying information when the data is analysed. While we have contact details in order to reach you, we analyse everyone’s answers together without contact information attached. The aim of this survey is to understand Victorian’s views and experiences, rather than the view and experiences of any particular individual.

The primary purpose for which we collect, hold, and use your personal information is to conduct research. We may also collect, hold, and use your personal information in order to respond to your enquiries. We report the results of our research without identifying any individual (unless that individual expressly consents). Wallis works within the Australian Privacy Act which means that all personal information that we collect and store is protected. If you require any further information about how we manage your personal information, you can view the Wallis Privacy Policy.

Where did you get my details from?

In most cases contact details have been provided by VicRoads, although some fixed-line numbers have also been randomly selected to ensure that all Victorians have the opportunity to participate. The TAC has access to the VicRoads database of all registered and licenced drivers and riders for the purposes of improving road safety in Victoria. Your name has been chosen randomly from that database and only the details that are necessary to make contact with you have been supplied to Wallis.

The VicRoads privacy policy can be viewed on their website by opening the ‘Protecting your privacy brochure’ at the bottom of this web page: https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/website-terms/privacy

Who can I contact if I have any queries?

If you have any queries, or would like to make an appointment, please call 1800 113 444. If leaving a message, please leave information for us to return your call.

You can also contact us at TAC_PEEP@wallisgroup.com.au

What is the prize?

One prize will be randomly drawn from those who complete the survey and opt to enter the prize draw. The prize will be worth $1000 – an EFT or eGiftCard, as preferred by the winner. This prize draw is drawn on the 15th of every month for people who have completed a PEEP survey in the previous month. For details, please see the prize draw T&Cs here.
