Road Safety Monitor

Processes and systems at Wallis allow for a rapid pivot in questionnaire content when this is required and gives TAC a finger on the pulse of road safety in Victoria.

The Road Safety Monitor (RSM) is conducted on behalf of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). This survey helps the TAC understand the experience and attitudes of all Victorians who share our roads, and assist with planning how best to improve road safety for everyone.

The quarterly questionnaire deployment allows the TAC to monitor road safety behaviour and the factors which influence behaviour, including attitudes, social norms and self-efficacy. This also allows TAC to identify and monitor behaviours and attitudes that are relevant to road safety. Despite its multi-mode approach (including telephone, hardcopy and online), the program is highly flexible. Processes and systems at Wallis allow for a rapid pivot in questionnaire content when this is required and gives TAC a finger on the pulse of road safety in Victoria.

Wallis prepares annual reports with analysis of the results which are published here by the TAC.
